17-Year-Old Among 5 Burglars Targeting Long Island Business, Police Say

Five suspects, including a 17-year-old, were arrested in connection with a commercial burglary on Long Island.

The break-in happened at around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, May 5, in Bayport at Moe’s Sweet Air, located on Bernice Drive near Montauk Highway.

Suffolk County Police said five males, all between the ages of 17 and 21, broke a window and stole money and vape products from the business.

Following an investigation, Fifth Squad detectives arrested the following suspects on suspicion of third-degree burglary:

  • Jordan Rivera, age 18, of Brentwood
  • Christian Evans, age 21, of Brentwood
  • Keyshawn Grenville, age 18, of Central Islip
  • Dominick Lopez, age 19, of Central Islip
  • A 17-year-old male from West Islip

Evans and Rivera are facing an additional burglary count for allegedly breaking into a Brentwood pawn shop roughly an hour before the Bayport burglary. 

According to police, the duo made off with numerous gaming systems, cell phones, and watches.
